IFGF Care Semarang
As one of the cities impacted by Covid-19, IFGF Semarang through its program IFGF Care distributes aid relief to people in need. IFGF Care is an aid and information facility for donors who want to participate in the program. This is done to verify that all donations given are well needed and received. Donations of medical supplies such as hazmat suits, N95 masks, surgical masks, face shields, medical gloves, boots, shoe covers, hand sanitizers, chlorine, vitamins and milk have been given to several hospitals and health centres in Semarang through this program.
Other than medical supplies, fund and groceries relief have been distributed to churches around IFGF Semarang and Semarang City. DPW Central Java and West Java also gave fund donations to IFGF churches in those 2 provinces. The fund would be managed by the pastor of each church to then be distributed in the form of groceries to its members. Each church has previously surveyed its members to make sure that the relief is distributed rightly.
IFGF Care Semarang has started since April by distributing medical supplies, while groceries aid has started since May and both are still an ongoing program. IFGF Semarang also gave out non-medical masks in the groceries relief. More than 3.000 cloth masks have been distributed in the last 3 months.
