Updated News about Ministry in IFGF Jambi
Praise our Lord Christ Jesus for His faithful blessings and guidance to all of us. Ps. Jhon Harson and his wife Zhen Zhen has been entrusted with bigger responsibilities, delegated by Vice President Region 1 (Pastor Erna Iskandar), to continue ministry in the Jambi province. They departed from Medan on December 8th, 2019 and arrived in Jambi on December 9th, 2019 by car without having any obstacles, and now they have settled in South Jambi, at kelurahan Wijaya Pura, not far from Persijam sport field. These recent years, the Sumatra DPW has been more focused in prayers and intention for IFGF Jambi.
The challenges and obstacles faced by the previous ministers in Jambi are not discouraging the hearts of the DPW Sumatra Team. Jambi is known as a minority for those who believe in Jesus Christ. Ps Jhon and his wife have conducted some observations there in Jambi and have made a plan on how to win people so they know who Jesus is.
They are targeting believers who haven’t been planted in any local church nor have spiritual mentors, people who have never heard about Jesus, and those with fading faith because of the pressures and devastating situations. This mandate cannot be accomplished by them alone. They need help from all of us as well.
We strongly encourage fellow ministers in IFGF Global to support their ministry there, so that IFGF Jambi may be part of our prayers in all IFGF churches. Together we carry the burden and heart for Jambi.

We sincerely and strongly believe that now is the Kairos time for God to open a door for Good News ministry in Jambi. We also believe that everything should start from the basic need, the need of salvation, and also the spirit to accomplish the Great Commission. IFGF Jambi Church is called to become a blessing for the city and for Indonesia.
On last Sunday, Jan 12th 2020, Ps Erna Iskandar as VP Region 1, accompanied by Ps Indra Effendi came especially to Jambi to pray formally for Ps Jhon Harson appointment as new Pastor in IFGF Jambi before all of the congregations. He is the 7th pastor in IFGF Jambi since the church was opened in 1995.
In her sermon, Ps Erna said that “Being a servant of God is a noble calling, and we must be proud of that call, because our master is the owner of everything. Have a life that is greater than ourselves, meaning not only to think about our needs and interests, but also to learn to think about the needs of others by serving them. When we serve others, actually we are serving God”
