Relief for Flood Victims – World Harvest and IFGF

At the beginning of 2020, we were shocked by the big floods that hit cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi and other cities. After the disaster, it was difficult for people to find food and they had health problems due to flooding.

World Harvest and IFGF worked together to help victims caused by the flood by providing free public medical treatment, provision of basic food items (food and drink), and household equipment that can help their daily activities (toiletries, cleaning the house, and sleeping necessities).

One of the areas visited by the WH and IFGF is Bidara Cina, Cawang. Praise God, as many as 173 flood victims could get help from the team. Previously, this area experienced floods with a height of 80 cm to 2 meters.

“During the flood residents have not yet received assistance, this is the first assistance we received, from World Harvest,” said Mr Catur as chairman of the RT (Neighborhood).

For other locations that had been successfully assisted by the team were 162 East Jakarta residents, 140 from the Papan Mas Bekasi Community, 41 East Bekasi residents, 36 Cilincing residents (drowned houses), 2 Perum residents, 18 residents from the Tangerang area and many more. Praise the Lord for World Harvest and IFGF could help 725 flood victims.

We thank and appreciate for all donors who helped the implementation of World Harvest and IFGF – relief for flood victims. Thank you for helping our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster, your help is very meaningful for them.
