Unexpected Blessing
IFGF Ende received an extraordinary opportunity from God to bless the community. In the midst of this difficult time due to Covid-19, IFGF Ende, who is led by Ps Urbanus Steven, distributed food items to people who needed help in the Ende area, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara.
Blessings given by God can indeed come at any time. At 11.30pm, Ps Urbanus receives a call from someone he does not know. For him the call was an unexpected blessing. The call was from Ps Hendra Gunawan of IFGF Taichung, Taiwan.
God gave an extraordinary blessing through Ps Hendra then he entrusted the blessing to Ps Urbanus for IFGF Ende. Ps Hendra gave funds to Ps Urbanus which then used to buy basic needs (food items). Those food items were distributed to people who needed them. May God bless Ps Hendra for his generosity.
IFGF Ende, mentored by Ps Raymond Njotorahardjo (VP Region 2), has learned Joseph’s management pattern when he led the Egyptian. In this difficult time, the stock needs must always be available and managed properly. Ps Urbanus and the team prayed that basic needs, including masks and vitamins, will be provided more by God.
We believe the church is called to be light and salt in the midst of a world that is struggling. A tangible application of being light and salt is to sow love in the form of giving.
