Serving The Community Faithfully
Matthew 22:39 asks us to love our fellow humans as we love ourselves. This principle of helping others is what the IFGF Covid-19 Care team is living by and fighting for, as the church continues to help struggling communities in collaboration with World Harvest Indonesia (WH) amidst this global pandemic.
Some families still struggle in meeting their daily needs as the Large-Scale Social Limitation (PSBB) has resulted in lost jobs & lowered incomes amongst other negative economic effects. Moreover, some hospitals are finding access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) becoming more difficult with more and more citizens purchasing for themselves, leading to scarcity and a jump in prices.
Even with all that, we thank God that our collaboration with WH continues to help 27 communities and 45 health institutions in the Greater Jakarta area, successfully distributing 1,277 packages of food, cleaning supplies, and PPEs.
It isn’t unusual for health institutions to be at quite a high capacity of patients, so they need all the help they can get. Let’s do our part in slowing the spread of the virus by taking appropriate measures and not forgetting to pray to God for this pandemic to end sooner rather than later as well as for him to use us how He wants in order to be a blessing to others..
