Pakistan Leaders Gathered Online
Enthusiasm is a powerful thing. Lockdowns and work-from-home situations cannot limit the church’s enthusiasm for God as pastors and leaders alike innovate and search for opportunities to provide services and activities for IFGF members from the comfort of their own homes.
Between the 17th to the 18th of May, the IFGF Leadership Conference was held. This leadership meeting was focused towards IFGF’s Pakistan Pastors & Leaders and started off with Ps. Daniel Hanafi discussed topics around being ‘More than Winners, about the ‘Character of Job & Nehemiah’ and having fruitful discussions about future service strategies.
On the second day, which was facilitated by Ps. Robinson Asghar and Ps. Justin Javed, around 50 pastors & leaders from various cities such as Pakistan, Londong & Saudi Arabia attended to hear Ps. Jimmy Oentoro speak on the different foundations we must strengthen: personal, family, service, and business. He also reminded everyone that the church isn’t a place but rather the community; something important to keep in mind during times where gathering in person can be challenging.
Pastor Jimmy proceeded to call the church to truly focus on strengthening relationships as well as building a culture of discipleship by supporting the IFGF Care Group and Walk with One initiatives.
Discipleship is what guarantees sustainability and growth like the early church in the book of Acts, and the church must use the online tools available to them to cultivate such a disciple-focused culture and carry out its activities be it communion, community prayer, or otherwise.
It’s amazing to see the IFGF Pakistan church grow to 76 branches in Pakistan and 8 Urdu-speaking churches in London, UAE & Saudi Arabia since its establishment in 2004. Let us pray together for the continuous progress & development of IFGF Pakistan, so that its members can serve as vessels to those who seek a stronger relationship with God, especially during this pandemic.
