Pray Continually
Last month was a monumental month for IFGF Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as their routine virtual prayer meetings experienced a progressive growth. Pastors, leaders and senior elders of the church took turns in sharing the bible for the meetings.
On 24 August, Ps. Kumar shared from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 about what happened to those who died in Christ. This earth is our temporary place and heaven is our eternal home. Many Christians lost their lives due to Covid-19 yet this is just the beginning. The Bible teaches us to continually encourage and uplift others.
On 30 August, Ps. Noreen Parvez shared from Matthew 28:19 about the importance of baptism in Christianity. The Bible clearly stated that it is important for us to be born again and be a new creation. Church denominations are irrelevant in God’s eyes as long as we follow Christ and obey his commands. On the same day, Khushboo Parvez taught about guidelines of life which was taken from Proverb 3:5-6. The Bible has shown us all the guidelines, wisdom and knowledge needed to live our lives according to God’s will. Seek God daily, live your life well and look to God before looking at others.
On 1 September, Akram Sandhu shared from Hebrew 11:6. He reminded us that faith is needed to build a relationship with Christ. Faith is the bridge between us and His words and without faith, it is impossible to please God.
On 4 September, Dr. Rev. Daniel Hanafi became a special guest in IFGF Jeddah virtual prayer meeting. Rev. Daniel shared from Genesis 39:19-23 which was about Joseph. Joseph was wrongfully accused and jailed but he was still humble, caring and faithful to God. He was joyful and believing that God is always with Him. Just like Joseph, there are times when we are going into trials and we have to put 100% trust in Him.
The next day on 5 September, Ps. Parvez Yousaf talked about growing spiritually and sowing for our spirit which was taken from Rome 8:5-6. Ps. Parvez reminded us to not trust the materialistic world around us. Rather we should put our mind to Christ and His will. We need to continually surrender to Him and follow the Holy Spirit.
Our God is an almighty God. He can do miracles through many ways including IFGF Jeddah’s virtual prayer meetings. One testimony came from Margaret, whose sister requested a prayer as she was diagnosed with Covid-19. After continual prayers, her sister was tested negative. Praise God for His miracle.
