A Faithful Worshipper
Above all the uncertainties we are facing everyday, the one certain thing is that Jesus wants to have a daily communion with us so we can build our personal relationship with him. One way to commune with Christ is through praise & worship. This is the reason why IFGF Beracah Church Jeddah, KSA continues its online praise & worship meetings.
More than just praising and worshipping together, their online meetings also include bible study. Here are the notes from the teachings in September 2020.
On 14 September 2020, Ps. Noreen Parvez from Pakistan taught about Life Sacrifice which was taken from Hebrew 13:15. We have to worship God in spirit and truth. In the old testament, we see that God was “restricted” only for the high priest but today our Heavenly Father calls us His children. He wants us to bring the right sacrifice to the altar. God is worthy to be praised and we have to worship and praise Him all the time. However, as mere humans we can’t put our feet on 2 boats. We are unable to praise earthly things and God at the same time. We have to be mindful when we come to worship, to always set our heart and mind to Jesus.
On 18 September 2020, Ps. Subhash Gill from the UK preached about Testimony of God which was taken from 1 Corinthians 2 : 1-5 and 1 Thessalonians 1:5. All apostles who wrote letters to the churches always shared their testimony about Jesus. God saved us by giving His one and only Son as a living sacrifice. This is the only reason why as a believer of Christ we have to follow his teaching and share this good news to the world.
Then on 22 September, Imran Bhatti from the UK taught about the Human Ambassador of Worries which was taken from Phillipians 4:4. Everyone has a bucket full of worriness which unconsciously overflowed to others. This is despite the truth that as a believer we have to spread the good news instead of anxiety or worriness. Philippians 4:4 clearly says “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” We have trust that Jesus will provide our needs and will give us an everlasting joy. The truth is, we are extremely precious for God that He gave His son, Jesus, to die for our sins.
The next day on 23 September, Ps. Sagar from Pakistan preached on the authenticity of faith which was referenced from 1 Peter 1:7. Ps. Sagar emphasized that faith can only come from listening to the word of God as written in Romans 10:17. There are many people who can’t grow their faith because they can’t read or hear about the Bible. It is very important to understand Hebrew 11:1 so we can understand the importance of walking in our faith with Jesus.
On 25 September, Ps. Joseph Pardesi from Bahrain shared from Matthew 20:29-34. The main focus of Ps. Joseph’s teaching was the great love of Jesus towards the church. Jesus’ compassion is an everlasting truth and His love is unshakeable for He is the same God yesterday, today and forever.
Testimonies about God’s miraculous work are also being shared during the praise & worship meetings. One of IFGF Beracah members named Irfan Bhatti asked Ps. Parvez Yousaf to pray for offspring. Ps. Parvez prayed for them and gave them honey, water and oil and prophesied that the couple will have a boy. This month, the couple is blessed with a baby boy. We praise God for this miracle.
Last month IFGF Beracah experienced progressive spiritual growth even though all activities are held online. May we all continue to grow and be fruitful spiritually that God’s name be glorified through everything that we do.
For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen
