A Dream for The House of the Lord

Although we know that church is not defined by a building, it is still our dream to be able to worship together in the comfort of a building. This is also a dream of IFGF Webuye, Kenya. Pastor Emmanuel Wakhungila had a burden and dream to build the HOUSE (church) for God. Their limitations didn’t hinder them from dreaming about it as they believed if God is willing, He will make a way as the church prays and strives for it.
Regardless of the situations they are facing and the Covid-19 pandemic that is currently happening, a two-storey foundation has been built. On 1 January 2020, Ps. Emmanuel encouraged 20 senior pastors, associates and more than 800 church members to take part in this vision. This can be done by committing KSh 20 (US$ 0.2) per day for three years for building the HOUSE.
With the challenges of coronavirus pandemic, church closure, church members who are financially impacted, only some are able to give to the church. Contemplating on the condition and acknowledging that it is impossible to bear this alone, Ps. Emmanuel requested help from his colleagues to stand together with IFGF Webuye as they accomplished this mission.
IFGF Webuye is grateful for the generous contribution in designing, managing the permit, building the foundation and pillars up to the second floor, and now going into drawing, approval, pillar reinforcement and slab construction. Slab is a structural element used to create horizontal surfaces, supported by the vertical structures of the building. During this building process, Ps. Emmanuel and IFGF Webuye believe that all is possible through God’s helping hand. As God is faithful, they believe that where God leads, God provides.
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
