Strategic Training in Region 8 – Papua and Maluku

Prior to the Strategic Training (PESTA) event beginning, IFGF Women Manado conducted a service for 100 children in the Kokoda. Children were gathered to play and sing together. IFGF Women Manado also distributed healthy food and milk to the Kokoda children. It was a blessing for all of them.

The PESTA in region 8 was attended by 45 leaders from IFGF Papua and Maluku was held in Sorong, West Papua. The event was opened on March 11th, 2020 by IFGF Praise Sorong, and then continued with the delivery of the Word of God led by Ps Martha Yuwono, VP of region 8.

On that occasion, she preached about a Greater Blessing, and encouraged leaders to have a servant’s heart and became a leader who continues to walk together throughout 2020 and to always connect to each other in the teaching provided and to bring each congregation to be alive in God’s blessing. The next session was an IFGF Care workshop to bring every church to win souls and become a fruitful church that was delivered by Ps Juzar Malaha.

In the afternoon, the event continued with One-on-One FORM (Family-Occupation-Recreation-Ministry) practice in the Kokoda. Each participant learned to reach out to souls in public places to become a blessing when returning to their area. They also got an explanation regarding the rules and policies in IFGF Church, including a Q&A session. Simultaneously IFGF Women Manado also provided a service to 71 people in Kokoda who were sick. They could consult a doctor directly, did an examination and got medicine for free.

The second day of the PESTA, March 12th, 2020 opened with the basic teaching of ministry by Ps. Abraham Yuwono. He taught about how ministry is built on the foundation of character, obedience and sacrifice. The event continued with the Discipleship Journey Workshop led by Ps Juzar. He also explained the online data collection system for Papuan and Maluku leaders, to facilitate church reporting.

That PESTA was closed with an anointing service and Holy Communion which was led by Ps Martha. She reminded everyone to never lack zeal and to keep our spiritual fervor, serving the Lord regardless of any problems we encounter. At that time she also prayed for Mrs. Agustina to became IFGF Tual Coordinator. Special appreciation was given to IFGF Sorong and Ps Arthur, for their hospitality and becaming a blessing to God’s servants in the Papua and Maluku area.
