Friday Prayer
IFGF Beracah Church, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has weekly virtual prayer meetings everyday. A special prayer meeting was held last Friday, 17 July with Rev. Dr. Robinson Asghar as guest speaker in which he talked about baptism.
Rev. Dr. Robinson Asghar explained the meaning and importance of baptism, as well as the true baptism that was taught by Jesus Christ. In baptism, the Lord appointed the Holy Spirit who is able to change one’s whole life and that through baptism, we become one with the Lord.
This weekly prayer meeting is conducted through Zoom and around 20 people participate in the meeting. However when IFGF Beracah announced this prayer meeting through Facebook, 480-500 people attended the meeting. At one meeting, 800 people joined this virtual prayer meeting. Some people did not only sitback and watch, but they also shared their testimonies. After each prayer meeting, a record of it is shared to 10 different online groups including IFGF Beracah’s Facebook group and other private groups.
It is only by God’s grace that this prayer meeting can continue each week and God’s presence can be felt even though it is done through social media.
I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
