Care for others during Covid-19
To care for others during this Covid-19 pandemic and to follow the message given by the leaders of Region 2, IFGF Ende (Indonesia) held a free medical check-up and swab test for church leaders, members and the community around the church. These events were held at different times; medical check-up on Wednesday, 13 January and the free antigen swab test on Friday, 5 February. Both events were held at IFGF Ende.
IFGF Ende prepared 100 quotas for the medical check-up and 50 for the swab test. The medical volunteers for the events were church members of IFGF Ende as well as the public hospital of Ende which often held joint events with the church. The free medical check-up was funded by IFGF Ende and the antigen swab test was partly funded by IFGF Surabaya.
Both events are planned to be a joint community service by IFGF Ende and the public hospital of Ende once every two months. This is to ensure that all church and community members could receive a decent health service.
As for Sunday service, IFGF Ende has started holding onsite services following a strict health protocol. The service is also streamed through Facebook to cater for the sick and elderly.
Let us continue to share God’s love and be a blessing for our neighbours and community.
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God
and knows God”
