There were around 100 IFGF leaders that participated in the Leadership Seminar held at IFGF Place, 5th Floor, Plaza Semanggi (Sarbini), Jakarta. They came from Jabodetabek, Bandung, Semarang, Salatiga, Surabaya and other cities. The event, held on Friday March 13th, ran from the morning to evening, consisting of 2 sessions entitled “Effective Leadership” and “Leading Influence: A Study in Leadership”.

Ps Ken Malmin
The keynote speaker at the Seminar was Ps Ken Malmin, a Professor of Theology from Portland Bible College. He also serves as the Executive Pastor and elder in Mannahouse, formerly known as City Bible Church. He belongs to the apostolic team at MFI (Minister’s Fellowship International). Ps Ken is the author of 5 books that are used in PBC and around the world and he is known for his ability to illuminate Biblical doctrine precisely while also making it personally applicable.
The Word of God was taught deeply by Ps Ken. He did not just share knowledge, but more than that he imparted his life experience. He talked about Christ like character, integrity as a leader and also the importance of building an intimate relationship with God. One of the most important things he taught was about our openness and willingness as leaders to be processed by God. He asked this: “When was the last time you prayed earnestly asking God to correct you and reveal your weaknesses and faults? Prayers like that will surely be answered by God!” Several times when he shared the Word of God, the hearts of the participants were touched by the process of his life in God’s hands and his obedience to God.
In “Effective Leadership” he explained that leadership is talking about destiny in which people are led — influencing and helping them to fulfil God’s call in their lives.
