IFGF App Church Health Dashboard Training

IFGF App Church Health Dashboard Training

For the first time ever, due to the Covid pandemic, IFGF Region 1 DPW Sumatra and Kalimantan in Indonesia held a combined online Dashboard Training (IFGF Global App).

In this digital era, having a wholesome knowledge on technology is one of the church’s main needs especially for pastors and full timers. Ps Erna as VP Region 1 invited senior pastors, pastors, leaders (L1) and full timers in Region 1 DPW Sumatra & Kalimantan to be equipped with IFGF App Dashboard Training (Church Health). The training was done online on Monday, 25 May 2020 at 13.00 – 15.30. 125 people attended this training.

Ps Jonathan Kasmin (IFGF Global Discipleship & IFGF Bandung Executive Pastor) shared a detailed explanation on the importance of data and analysis on determining church’s decisions. Ps. Jonathan further shared on the principles and benefits of using IFGF App. The app has been available since October 2019 but has not been fully understood and utilized by all IFGF churches. New insights and ideas were gained through the training.

Before the session ended, all local churches made a commitment to apply Church Health in its own church; to be more active in analysing and making decisions based on the available data.  Pastors need to pay attention on the dashboard especially if the church health is showing red (showing a decline or sideway trend).

As an addition, at the end of the session Ps. Daniel Runtuwene from HITS (Harvest International Theological Seminary gave an update on HITS college programs of Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees which can be taken online by IFGF pastors and leaders. Separate classes can also be done exclusively online as needed to develop the leaders’ knowledge and proficiency. Wiky Senjani from FOFI (Focus On the Family Indonesia)  continued the session by explaining about the online trainings and seminars done during this pandemic, such as collaborating with local churches in Kalimantan and Sumatra for FOFI and NA (No Apologize).

Ps. Erna (VP Region 1) encouraged pastors and leaders to use this pandemic time as an opportunity to keep learning and equipping ourselves. Churches were encouraged to be more active in using training church health in IFGF App to monitor the growth of the church and make changes as needed.
