Update From IFGF Sorong
On Sunday, February 5, 2023, IFGF Sorong held Vision Sunday. IFGF Sorong is one of the IFGF churches in Indonesia whose pastor is Ps Arthur Kawuwung. It is located in Sorong, an integral part of the West Papua province, consisting of 12 districts and one city. Sorong is one of the primary oil producers in Indonesia, so it is nicknamed the oil city and the largest city in West Papua Province and the second largest city in Papua, after Jayapura City.
Still, in February 2023, IFGF Sorong will also hold a baptism on Tuesday, February 7. This baptism was attended by 4 TYC (Teen Youth and College) children. Before being baptized, these four children participated in a discipleship class first before they finally decided to give themselves to follow God. They wanted to commit to leaving their old life as youth/adolescents and walk in a new life with God so that they gave themselves to be baptized.
Seeing these next generations willing to grow and walk in God is truly a beautiful thing. So let’s pray for them to become children of light in the middle of a world that needs God, and IFGF Sorong will also shine even more and have a real impact on others.
