IFGF Pastor Ordination
On Sunday 10 January 2021, Synod’s Executive Leadership Council (ELC) held an ordination ceremony for Associate Pastor Yofinter who was ordained as Pastor as per IFGF’s Constitution and Bylaws. Pastor Yofinter, together with Mrs. Suzan Chen are the lead pastors of IFGF Pekanbaru (Indonesia) and have been ministering in IFGF for 17 years.
The ordination ceremony was done via Zoom and led by Ps. Erna Iskandar as an Apostolic Team member and Head of DPW Sumatera. Also in attendance were Ps. Indra Effendi as the Treasurer of DPW Sumatera, other pastors from Satellite Palas, Satellite Karya Indah, Satellite Siak and other leaders.
During the ceremony, Ps. Erna shared the word of God from 1 Peter 2:9 titled GREATER DESTINY which is also IFGF Global’s theme for 2021. Ps. Erna reminded the attendees that our IDENTITY is as a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession.
The presence of the Holy Spirit was strongly felt by everyone attending the Zoom meeting when Ps. Erna and all leaders prayed and ordained Ps. Yofinter to carry out a bigger responsibility as a lead pastor. Let us continue to support Ps. Yofinter in prayers. May the Holy Spirit anoint Ps. Yofinter and bless him throughout his ministry.
