MEETING “EAT” IN NUSA DUA BALI

Thank you for supporting us in your prayers!

The EAT (Executive Apostolic Team) meeting went very well and took place with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The meeting was held on January 20-22, 2020 at the Sofitel Hotel in Nusa Dua Bali. As part of the opening ceremony on the first day Ps. Jimmy Oentoro, as the Chairman, discussed the book of James chapters 1-5 and shared about building our movement with a solid foundation and strategy (new structure) for Global Mission (Unreached People).

EAT was formed in October 2018 with members consisting of Ps Jimmy Oentoro, Ps Sam Hartanto, Ps Daniel Hanafi, Ps Irwan Ngadisastra, Ps Budi Hidajat, Ps Raymond Nyotorahardjo, Ps Daniel Runtuwene, Ps Joshua Artono and Ps Tommy Simamora. EAT, which represents the entire Apostolic Team, meets periodically to make decisions about the IFGF movement and church issues in all regions.

At the Bali meeting there were many things discussed not only IFGF global issues and strategies but also analysing reports and development programs in all regions. There were some of major things agreed upon and decided so that the IFGF movement would be better going forward, including:

  • A New Regional position has been formed, namely Global Mission held by Ps Daniel Hanafi, with the main vision of reaching “Unreached People Groups.” At this time it will focus on 5 countries namely: Togo, Benin (West Africa), Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait (Middle East).
  • Making and completing material for IFGF Pastoral Curriculum institute (practical and ready-to-use theological programs) that will be used later in countries such as Nepal, Pakistan, India, Africa etc. with the aim of equipping pastors especially in Regional-6 and other countries so that they are more ready to shepherd and plant churches in new places.
  • Regional VP 6 is no longer held by Ps. Daniel Hanafi, but the division of responsibilities is divided among several Deputy VP in Region-6 based on the following areas: West Africa, East Africa, South Asia, Central Asia and Middle East. All Deputies will report to the General Secretary.

Let us continue to support in our prayers for the whole Apostolic Team and all the IFGF Pastors who serve throughout the world.
