IFGF USA CANADA NEXT GENERATION MEETING
The Next Generation Meeting was conducted in IFGF Seattle Feb 21-23, 2020 and was attended by 113 young leaders.
Awesome response from these guys, networking and fellowship definitely happening there! They stayed and didn’t go anywhere up to 2 hours after the event was done. Clear cut message from Ps. Danny Hanafi on the importance of surrendering our lives for greater purpose. Then 20 people stepped forward as a commitment that they were ready to serve full-time in the future.
During the meeting Ps. Carlos Marin (Dean of Portland Bible College) talked about the need to submit to Authority and equip ourselves in battle. Match scholarship for the ones wanting to take online classes at PBC (Portland Bible College).
Ps. Sammy Hartanto gave a message that we are responsible for making sure we are all growing personally before it turns outward so we can bless others. Also there were group discussions about their expectations concerning the future. Words that are consistently popped out: authentic, apologetics, relationship, prayers, deep bible study, multicultural, and evangelism.
When they are challenged to be the ones who will take the next IFGF Conference USA stick and mover, they immediately accept the challenge without hesitation. This is right the time to give more opportunities to Next Generation to take leading. For example, Kristy Hanafi was preaching at IFGF Seattle during the Sunday Service after the conference. Finally, this event was closed with Holy Communion
Prior the Next Gen Meeting, five Apostles (Ps Sammy Hartanto, Ps Danny Hanafi, Ps Irwan Ngadisastra, Ps Somi Pranoto and Ps Fendy Hutomo) was gathered to discuss some strategic issues such as:
- The need to educate people who have the potential to study and have biblical common sense (Large-scale online study through PBC is required through sponsors).
- Reaching to communities and be ready for present 2 services (in Indonesia and English) with American leaders.
- Some changes, training for improvement and resolution of problems will be carried out in the US, Canada and Europe.
