God’s Endless Goodness

After being limited to face-to-face meetings for some time due to the Covid-19 outbreak, IFGF Balikpapan can finally gather with brothers and sisters in faith through God’s grace.

Christmas 2022 is a special celebration because we can finally gather together again to celebrate Christmas on December 19, be served by Ps Erna Iskandar (VP Region 12), and simultaneously celebrate IFGF Balikpapan’s 17th Birthday. It is a long journey for IFGF Balikpapan.

Then starting this year, 2023, IFGF Balikpapan worshiped at the beginning of the year on January 8, 2023, led by Ps Cahya (IFGF Balikpapan Pastor). It is extraordinary because we can get through 2022 despite being full of struggles, challenges, and processes that are not easy, but because of God, we were able to go through it. Thus entering 2023, we will become stronger and have the character of God through His wisdom and grace.

And in January 2023, IFGF Balikpapan held an Imlek (Chinese New Year) celebration and worship on Sunday, January 22. The church was decorated with a Chinese New Year touch, and everyone present had a meal together after the service. All seemed to rejoice.

In February, on the 12th, IFGF Balikpapan held a Vision Sunday hosted by Ps Cahya. The purpose of holding this event is so that every member of the IFGF Balikpapan church understands every character that God has provided and can become the character that God wants. The engine in life is our character, which aligns with the IFGF 2023 theme, Alive in Character.

We are grateful for every goodness God has for his church. IFGF Balikpapan feels that God’s inclusion and kindness are endless. Therefore, we pray that IFGF Balikpapan can continue to grow and impact others.
