Beautiful Christmas & New Year’s Eve Celebration IFGF Jakarta
Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. In the last Christmas 2022 celebration, Sunday, December 25, several Discipleship Centers (DC) at IFGF Jakarta baptized 32 people. The majority of the baptismal participants are Teen Youth & College children.
Baptism on Christmas Day or Christmas Baptism was held simultaneously in several different areas, namely:
- Karawaci DC had 12 people.
- Perumnas DC had 7 people.
- Jakarta DC had 6 people.
- Medan kota DC had 4 people.
- Cilincing DC had 3 people.
It’s a wonderful Christmas to see our brothers and sisters decide to give themselves to be baptized and choose the Lord Jesus as the only savior in their lives.
Then, still in the same month, before the year changes, at the end of 2022, IFGF held a New Year’s Eve (NYE) celebration, which was held at Dome World Harvest Tangerang on December 31, 2022. This new year’s eve event was attended by 434 congregations and families from the IFGF Jabodetabek. All the congregants present were very blessed through the sermon by Ps Joshua Artono with the theme “From Forever to Forever (Jer. 31:1-7).” As a result, all the congregations were very enthusiastic about ending 2022 and welcoming the new year 2023 together with the IFGF Jakarta big family.
This New Year’s Eve event is exciting because there are door prizes. The congregation also distributed golden verses for 2023, then filled out the 2023 dream sheet. At the end of the program (early 2023), a Holy Communion was held, led directly by Ps Jimmy Oentoro. All congregations rejoice in welcoming the New Year 2023.
It’s so beautiful to end 2022 and start 2023 with brothers and sisters in faith. Whatever people say about 2023, as long as we walk with God, we will go through everything. So keep relying on God, church!
