Father’s Day at IFGF Balikpapan
Every third Sunday of June, some parts of the world celebrate Father’s Day as a special day to honor a father figure. The first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 10, 1910.
In 2022, Father’s Day falls on Sunday, June 19. To celebrate this day, IFGF Balikpapan which is led by Ps. Cahya Rudiyanta, held a special Father’s Day service on the Sunday service. The celebration was held onsite as IFGF Balikpapan has resumed its onsite service since March 2022.
Through this Father’s Day celebration, IFGF Balikpapan would like to show gratitude for the fathers who have guided and led their children to walk in the right path. Father’s Day is also a reminder that beyond our worldly fathers, we have a heavenly Father whose love is beyond measure. His love is the force that keeps us close to him.
A month later, on July 9, IFGF Balikpapan held an onsite iPraise Gathering. The event is a platform for iPraise members to know their teammates better and to support each other through prayers.
