Turn Things Around
Turn Things Around is the title of IFGF Praise’s newest single. Written by Ps. Joshua Artono, #TurnThingsAround carries a message of hope. This song reminds us that as we walk with Jesus and have faith in Him, He can turn the most impossible situation to be possible. #TurnThingsAround also talks about our gratefulness to have a living God who has paid for our sins. Our living God is also the constant in the midst of this life’s challenges and changes. During our trials and hardships, we should believe that only Jesus can turn things around.

Behind the scene
The music video of #TurnThingsAround shows testimonies on how God has turned things around. The first story came from Arnold (WL IFGF Bali, Indonesia) whose story was about his mother who was paralysed from an accident. The family made every effort for the recovery including going to a revival meeting but nothing changed. Along the process Arnold turned to hating the church and God as he felt unloved by Jesus. However Jesus turned things around for Arnold and made him meet the right community. Arnold realized that Jesus was never far from him even when he was trying to run away. Jesus was faithful and always with him.
The second story came from Ps. Ando (Discipleship) and his wife when they decided to adopt Isaac. Ps. Ando told us about his parenting regret when out of anger he banished Isaac out of the house and he left without anything. After realizing his mistake, Ps. Ando came looking for Isaac and asked for forgiveness from his son. Isaac forgave his father and their family relationship was restored.
The last story in the video came from Giskhe Ariana (WL & Kids Ministry). In August 2017, Giskhe’s mom had a blood clot on her left brain stem which left her hospitalized for a month. As a human, Giskhe was shocked as she needed to step up for her family in place of her mom. However Jesus was always there with her. Giskhe acknowledged that happiness comes from the small simple things that happen daily in her life, including God’s providence in moral and financial support she received during that time. Giskhe understood that having Jesus in her life is the biggest blessing.
These stories remind us that Jesus is always with us during every season and He will never leave us even when we try to run away from Him. In His name there is healing, in His name there is light. He is able to heal our broken hearts, He is able to #TurnThingsArond. He makes things possible. The most important thing is that He is able to turn our hearts to know and be closer with Him.
“I’ll turn things around for you. I’ll bring you back from all the countries into which I drove you”—GOD’s Decree—“bring you home to the place from which I sent you off into exile. You can count on it.”
– Jeremiah 29:14-
