PESTA & NEXTGEN CONFERENCE 2021
On Thursday – Saturday, 13 – 15 May 2021, IFGF Sabah Sarawak (Malaysia) held an online strategic training (PESTA) and NEXTGEN CONFERENCE 2021. 214 participants from IFGF Sabah and Sarawak participated in this event which was done through Zoom. An additional 7 non-IFGF members also joined the conference.
This event was held as a reminder that ministry and discipleship have to keep on going regardless of our situation and condition. Also, as the event was for IFGF churches within Sabah and Sarawak, it served as a platform where leaders and church members could reconnect with others and build better relationships in Sabah Sarawak.
The main speakers for the event were Ps. Siren Rondy Daud, Ps. Indra Puspa, Ps. Handoyo Gunawan, Ps. Llano Feliciano and Associate Ps. Nikodemus Yasut. Also acting as speakers in the workshop were Lay Ps. Nilius Daud, Associate Ps. Nikodemus Yasut, Ps. Fendy Suprajogi, Rolandy Siten and Christine Capulong.
Some of the topics that was discussed by the speakers were:
- Building and expanding your potential.
- Discipleship in the new norm.
- The challenge of time and Gen-Z.
- Uncertainty into Greater Destiny.
- Building the youths and discipleship culture.
- A harmonious family.
- Building the atmosphere through praise and worship.
- Living the IFGF Mission “People is Our Mission”.
In addition, some notable messages that were conveyed by the speakers are;
- Have a willingness to build and enlarge your capacity as a healthy leader to raise up healthy followers.
- Discipleship is a simple act to follow Jesus and help others to be a Jesus’ disciple.
- Build the atmosphere and connection through praise and worship.
- Changes, relationships, love and ‘two becomes one’ are the essentials in building a harmonious family.
