Quarter 1/2021 Mission Report

Quarter 1/2021 Mission Report

The Good News must go out! Covid-19 pandemic is not a barrier for us as a church to spread the gospel and bless others. Throughout the first quarter of 2021, IFGF Global Mission has continued doing its field work in Asia and Africa.

IFGF Global Mission has finished building a church in Parachinar, Pakistan. In addition, through World Harvest, we were able to assist the needy in Toba Tek Singh, a city and capital of Toba Tek Singh District in Pakistan. There are more than 50 villages in the area including Muqaddas Village where most of its residents are facing continual persecution due to slavery, injustice and poverty. As they are poor, they are being discriminated against which leads to unemployment. This cycle worsens as their work options are limited to be a laborer or slave for the rich and educated. Their daily wages are barely sufficient for food and family expenses. Ps. Morris Azeem as World Harvest leader understood this situation and acted to reach them.

Ps. Morris Azeem and wife decided to start teaching the gospel and even more, they empowered the women in this village. Unbounded by the resources, Ps. Azeem and wife started a sewing center to teach the women new skills that they can use to earn some money. Currently there are 20 women participating in the program and within 3 months, these women have learnt to sew and sell clothes in the market.

Furthermore, Ps. Azeem opened a learning center as he saw that the village children had no access to education. He also taught sack-farming to the families in this village. Sack-farming is a method of farming which requires small space. This project at Muqaddas Village has become a pilot project of Ps. Azeem.

The sack-farming project done by Ps. Azeem is more than giving chances for the families to be more independent and sustainable. It is a platform where the gospel can be shared and people can be discipled. This project has been done in;

  • 2 areas in Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan
  • 2 areas in Webuye, Kenya
  • Fort Portal, Uganda
  • Kampala, Uganda
  • Siliguri, India
  • Mwanza, Tanzania

IFGF Global will also commence IFGF College of Leadership in autumn 2021 for 7 countries;

  • Uganda
  • Tanzania
  • Sierra Leone
  • India (Mumbai, SIliguri, Guntur)
  • Nepal
  • Pakistan (Islamabad, labore)
  • Ecuador

Also in 2 – 20 November 2021, IFGF Global will hold Arise Africa Mission in 4 countries;

  • Nongoma, South Africa
  • Lusaka, Zambia
  • Lilongwe, Malawi
  • Mbeya, Tanzania

Let everything that we have done and we will do in the future bring glory to Jesus!

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
