iCare & iGrow for Kids
On Friday, 23 April 2021 IFGF Kids conducted a training for teachers and volunteers from kids ministry, focusing on iCare & iGrow for kids. 82 people from around the globe participated in the training as it was held online. IFGF Kids teachers and volunteers from Düsseldorf, Houston, Auckland, Qatar, Kota Kinabalu, Keningau, Taichung, Surabaya, Wiyung, Medan, Gorontalo, Mapanget, Manado, Cirebon, Semarang, Binjai, Lampung, Pekanbaru, Jambi, Batam, Samarinda, Padang, Jayapura, Jakarta, Medan dan Makassar participated in the training.
The speakers, Ps. Andre Tjhin and Ps. Ancella Gunawan, shared their passion and knowledge about building iCare and iGrow for kids ministry in IFGF. Ps. Andre Tjhin is the NextGen Pastor of IFGF Bandung while Ps. Ancella Gunawan is the Director of IFGF Kids Global and Kids Pastor at IFGF Jakarta.
Through this training, it is hoped that teachers and volunteers of IFGF Kids ministry realize and understand that discipleship is important for children as much as it is for adults.
Sunday school should be more than just a playgroup or childcare centre as it is a great platform to share the truth of gospel for our children. Moreover, the training also provided guidance on how to become a better mentor and teacher in iCare & iGrow Kids.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
