Vaccination at IFGF Tondano, Indonesia
This February, IFGF Tondano teamed up with the District Police of Minahasa, Health Office of Minahasa, and the government of Rerewokan Village to roll out the Covid-19 vaccination for the community. IFGF Tondano provided the space for this event.
The participants for this vaccination event were the villagers and a few IFGF Tondano’s members. A total of 57 people were vaccinated, including 4 children aged 6-12. They were given either the 1st dosage, 2nd or a booster shot. Also attending the event were the Chief Police of West Tondano, Head of West Tondano sub-district, Head of Rerewokan Village and other officials.
We hope more people will be willing to be vaccinated to minimize the mortality effect of Covid-19. Although vaccination doesn’t mean perfect immunity, it provides extra immunity for our body. As God’s church, we should also be supportive of our government’s programs. Providing a space for vaccination rollout, is one of the ways to support our government.
