IFGF Regional Conference Region 14
After a 2 years delay due to the pandemic, IFGF Regional Conference Region 14 was held on April 6-7, 2022 at IFGF Manado. Ps. Evan Tjandra, Vice General Secretary of IFGF Global, was invited as the speaker of this conference.
Led by Dr. Wiske Rotinsulu, IFGF Regional Conference Region 14 had the same theme as IFGF Global in 2022 which is “Alive in Clarity”. Acts 1:3, “After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.” reminds us that God is alive and the church will prevail regardless of the situation.
The topics discussed during this conference were:
Day 1: Alive in Clarity, one2one (pre-discipleship journey)
Day 2: Building healthy church, identify leaders & future leaders (scholarship)
JESUS IS ALIVE, CHURCH IS UNSTOPPABLE
During the conference, pastors and leaders were equipped with materials on how to stay on fire in reaching for souls which is aligned with the IFGF mission: People is Our Mission, Connect with God, Make Disciples. Therefore, ministering to people around us should be a priority. Being a big church is not our target, but being a healthy church is. This means having a church that has a healthy leadership which comes from a healthy discipleship and a healthy care group.
Healthy Leadership -> Healthy Discipleship -> Healthy Care Group = Healthy Church
IFGF Regional Conference Region 14 in 2022 was attended by 23 churches, satellites and houses of fellowship within Sulawesi, Maluku and Halmahera. The participants were senior pastors, pastors, pastors’ wives and leaders.
After the conference, on Friday, April 8 a first stone laying ceremony was held for IFGF Tondano. Ps. Martha Yuwono, Ps. Abraham Yuwono and Ps. Evan also attended this ceremony.
