IFGF Care Covid-19
On June 15, 2021, IFGF Semarang, Indonesia through its program IFGF Care Covid-19 were giving assistance to hospitals in Semarang, in light of the increasing Covid-19 cases in Indonesia including Semarang.
The assistance given by IFGF Semarang through IFGF Care were 2 units of Oxygen Concentrator and 120 cans of Bear Brand milk to Panti Wilasa Citarum Hospital. This aid was received directly by Dr. Yohanes Mada Suprayogi, FINASIM as the director of Panti Wilasa Citarum Hospital and Dr. Kriswidiati as the vice director of the hospital.
As the city of Semarang is currently experiencing an increase in the Covid-19 case, IFGF Semarang decided to implement WFH (Work From Home) for its staff from June 16 onwards. The planned Daddy’s Fun Day event on Sunday, June 20 was also cancelled to ensure everyone’s health and safety. The church members were still able to celebrate Father’s Day by following the special Father’s Day service through the online platform.
We are reminded over and over that an online service shouldn’t reduce the essence of a church. As Christ’s followers, we are called to be the light and salt of the world, by sharing our Father’s love to others in need. IFGF Semarang hopes that the aid given to Panti Wilasa Citarum Hospital can be useful in saving lives.
