Baptism and Pastor Ordination
This month IFGF Beracah Church Jeddah, KSA held water baptism and a pastor ordination event. As we all know, water baptism is a public declaration of a new life for those who believe in Christ Jesus, to show their faith and commitment to Jesus. The act of immersion and coming out from the water represents dying to our old selves and being reborn in Jesus, just as Jesus was dead, buried and rose again.
The water baptism was held in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. In Saudi Arabia, the water baptism was conducted by Ps. Parvez Yousaf for 8 people; Haroon Tariq, Sundas Yousaf, Christina Parvez, Trisa Shammon, Margaret Yousaf, Anosh David, Alishma Ansar and Staish Ansar. Meanwhile, the water baptism in Pakistan was led by Ps. Noreen Parvez for 4 people; Azeem Aslam, Elishba Parvez, Rameen Javed and Laiba Javed.
On June 4, IFGF Beracah Church Jeddah held Virtual Friday Prayer, in which Ps. Daniel Hanafi of IFGF Los Angeles / Vice President of IFGF Global Mission shared a message from 2 Samuel 18:18 and Isaiah 56:4-5. Ps. Daniel also shared about IFGF’s discipleship programs: Come, Grow, Serve and Lead.
Also happened in June, Ps. Parvez ordained Sultana Ansar as pastor. And on June 12, another ordination was led by Ps. Parvez through Zoom for the following people;
- Aftab Khan : Worshipper
- Youaab Gill : Evangelist
- Samreen Parvez : Evangelist
- Elishba Parvez : Worshipper
- Khushboo Parvez : Apostle
