Campaign Update "Give the gift of Oxygen"

Campaign Update – “Give the gift of Oxygen”

The second wave of Covid-19 in India has caused a lot of casualties, mainly due to oxygen inavailability. The Indian government has put forward their best effort to tackle this issue. For example, using trains and Indian air force to speed up the delivery of oxygen supply to hospitals across the country. However, according to medical experts, India’s current health system isn’t capable of handling this crisis.

As a response to this need, World Harvest held a campaign called “Give the Gift of Oxygen”. This campaign aims to assist India in providing Oxygen Concentrator through financial aids from donors and IFGF churches.

Through your fast response to give generously, World Harvest collected $58,097. This fund was allocated to buy 100 Oxygen Concentrator in 3 different shipments.

Ps. Syamson Kolagani as World Harvest Community Leader in India coordinated the shipment. With fellow volunteers, Ps. Syamson worked hard to distribute these machines.

One person who has benefited from this campaign is Ms. Kamala (70 years old). Limitations in equipment and rooms in hospitals pushed her to do home isolation. With the help of Oxygen Concentrator, she and her grandchild were able to recover from Covid-19.

There is also the story of Ms. Sarada (95 years old) who experienced reduced oxygen saturation to 79. Praise God, through the availability of oxygen concentrator, her oxygen saturation has risen to 95.

We are thankful for all donors as the gift you gave has brought new hope to many families.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
