A DIVINE VISITATION AND CHURCH GROWTH AT IFGF EUROPE RETREAT 2026
DIESSEN, NETHERLANDS – From April 4 to 6, 2026, the town of Diessen witnessed an extraordinary move of God during the IFGF Europe Retreat. Carrying the theme “Align in Promise: Make a step into His promises,” the event served as a profound moment of spiritual alignment for IFGF churches across the European continent.
The retreat was attended by 68 participants gathering from various locations, representing IFGF Düsseldorf, IFGF Paris, IFGF London, IFGF Almere, IFGF Münster, iCare Bijlmer, and iCare Hoofddorp. The demographic of the attendees reflected the beautiful family of the Kingdom of God, comprising 22 youth (TYC), 4 young families, 9 children and 3 babies, as well as 33 faithful family members from the local churches.
The Fire of Worship and Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The pinnacle of God’s visitation occurred following the “Fire and Altar” session. A spiritual moment was created as the young people took a step of faith, surrendered themselves to God, and experienced the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This generation is truly being aligned with God’s promises to bring a greater impact.
A New Milestone: Expansion and Local Leadership
The 2026 retreat also marked a new historic milestone for the IFGF movement in Europe. During the event, it was announced that two House Churches have now officially become legal entities (foundations): IFGF Almere and IFGF Europe Münster. Consequently, at the beginning of 2026, IFGF Europe has grown into 3 Local Churches (Düsseldorf, Paris, London) and 2 House Churches (Almere, Münster).
More than just structure, IFGF Europe also experienced growth in its Pastoral Team. A touching moment took place during the ordination of Pdm. Christiaan Lever as the pastor who will shepherd the IFGF Almere House Church. He is the first native Dutch pastor in IFGF, who is trusted to be the seed of growth for future IFGF churches.
Building Unshakeable Growth
A sharp vision for all local and house churches in Europe was shared: “Faithfulness cannot be built through familiarity, but through God’s Covenant.” Based on Genesis 12:4 and 17:1 (“I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless”), the entire congregation was invited to reaffirm their Covenant with God and His church, in order to create Unshakeable Growth.
The three-day spiritual equipping was enriched by the ministry of Ps. Hanna Kristanto, Ps. Daniel Runtuwene (PDR), Pdm. Grace Runtuwene, Ardian Kristanto, and Kenneth. Some of the powerful messages (quotes) included:
