A gift in the pandemic
On Friday, August 20, 2021, Yayasan Generasi Peduli received a certificate of appreciation for its participation in the handling of Covid-19 in East Java Province. The certificate was received by Ps. Raymond Njotorahardjo as the founder and chairman of Yayasan Generasi Peduli, and given by Mrs. Khofifah Indar Parawansa as the East Java Governor. The event was held during the inauguration of 4 special integrated services for Covid-19 at RSUD (district hospital) Dr. Soetomo.
Yayasan Generasi Peduli Kabar Baik (or GenPed) is an organization focusing on humanity under IFGF Surabaya. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic that is still ongoing, GenPed collaborated with other organizations and corporations, as well as NYATA Magazine to help RSUD (district hospital) Kertosono in Nganjuk and RSUD Dr. Soetomo in Surabaya. Together, these organizations assisted in the procurement for HFNC (breathing assistance) machines and accommodation for medical personnels who came from outside Surabaya. RSUD Dr. Soetomo was chosen for this relief project because it is a designated hospital for Covid-19 in East Java.
A total of 25 HFNC machines were given, as well as temporary accommodation for 50 medical personnels for a 4 weeks period. Some oxygen concentrators machines were also gifted to RSUD Kertosono.
