Praise & Worship Team Training
On 3 October 2020 IFGF Praise Global Team held an online training for the Praise & Worship Team of IFGF Taipei, Taichung & Kaohsiung (Taiwan). The training was held to equip the young praise & worship team, most of whom are students aged 18 – 25 years old.
Currently, our IFGF churches in Taiwan are not equipped with In Ear Monitor Systems and music directors (MD). One of the churches does not have a floor monitor and is only equipped with an audience speaker. Furthermore, the churches do not have a monthly songs list and rely on the worship leader for the song choices.
The training was done by Ps. Alen Pranoto, Karmel, Christian Rahmat dan Alvin Lalelaa from IFGF Praise Global. Ps. Alen shared the reasons of “why we do what we do” and he also discussed the ‘triangular pillar’. Afterwards, Karmel explained the basic breathing technique and warm ups for singers.
The next speaker, Christian, shared about the SOP which includes setlist, monthly schedule and music director. Lastly, Alvin shared the importance of team preparation before ministering in Sunday service, including preparing a set list and having a group training. “We have to prepare our best because we worship the best God” is the main principle that should be embraced by each praise & worship team.
After the materials were delivered, the training was closed with a Q&A session. We hope this training session provides new insights to the praise & worship team in IFGF Taipe, Taichung and Kaohsiung. Let Jesus alone be glorified in all our praise and worship.
