STEWARDSHIP OF CREATION: BUILDING SELF-RELIANCE THROUGH SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IN SIERRA LEONE
SIERRA LEONE, Africa – IFGF Sierra Leone is conducting an intensive training program titled: “Design Course in Sustainable Agriculture, Agroecology, and Permaculture Practices.”

This program is designed not merely as technical training, but as a contextual discipleship movement combining faith, leadership skills, and regenerative farming practices to restore the land and empower the community.

Vision: Restoring Soil, Empowering Lives Led directly by Ps. Mambud Samai (IFGF Sierra Leone), this training emphasizes strategies for self-reliance and environmental stewardship. Amidst global economic challenges, the church is present to provide tangible solutions through Sustainable Agriculture, focusing on:
- Regenerative Farming & Agroecology: Restoring the health of agricultural ecosystems.
- Bokashi Technology & Living Soil: Utilizing technology for natural soil enrichment.
- Integrated Livestock & Crop Production: Harmonious integration of farming and animal husbandry.
- Leadership & Life Storytelling: Building strong leadership character through life reflection.

Training Details & Commitment This is a highly intensive Residential training program, combining classroom sessions, field practice, and community living.
- Date: Sunday, February 8 – Saturday, February 14, 2026.
- Location: “Farming on Crutches”, SLASA Football Garden, Masiaka Highway, Magbenta Village.
- Intensity: Participants dedicate 12 hours per day (Total 72 hours), starting from 05:30 to 22:00 local time.

Community Impact Through this initiative, we pray that techniques such as Crop Rotation, Water Management, and Organic Farming will not only produce a physical harvest but also restore hope and bring ecological harmony to the land of Sierra Leone.
One of the greatest testimonies of this program is seen at the training location itself: “Farming on Crutches”. Some of the participants are our brothers and sisters who, despite relying on crutches, possess a burning spirit to till the land.

This sight serves as a powerful prophetic message: that physical limitations do not hinder one’s ability to be productive. Through togetherness in community living, sharing meals, and supporting one another, IFGF Sierra Leone is building a Kingdom family that is resilient, independent, and full of hope.
