God Who Restores

In Genesis 3, we read about humanity’s fall into sin. Their once close relationship with God was disrupted. Yet even in that fall, we see God’s character as the One who restores. He did not leave Adam and Eve in their shame He sought them, covered them, and promised restoration through the woman’s offspring.

The Bible says:

“For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the LORD.”(Jeremiah 30:17 ESV)

God’s restoration is not merely a return to the way things were, but a profound transformation: broken hearts are healed, fractured relationships are mended, and shattered lives are restored for His purpose.

“Every restoration begins with surrender.”

This year, let us open our hearts to God’s work of restoration. Do not close yourself off because of fear, shame, or uncertainty. Allow the Holy Spirit to:
• Reveal what needs to be healed within us
• Remove the things that hinder our relationship with God
• Restore cold love into passionate love
• Heal broken relationships within our families and churches
• Re-establish His calling over our lives.

As an IFGF church, we are called to be a house of restoration—a place where the wounded find love, hope, and purpose. Let us surrender everything to God daily in prayer, His Word, and a community of love. Allow Him to work even in the things that seem impossible to restore.
