21st ANNIVERSARY OF IFGF MELBOURNE
IFGF Melbourne, located in South Melbourne, recently celebrated its 21st anniversary. On May 19, 2024, the event was held at the South Melbourne Community Centre, which is the church building, and was attended by 77 congregants. This year’s celebration carried the theme “House of Cards,” inspired by Matthew 7:24-27, delivering a profound message about the importance of a strong foundation of faith. The joyful moment began with a series of Sunday worship services that lasted for 1.5 hours. Following this, the event continued with a Fellowship Lunch, Games, and a closing ceremony.
The event also conveyed important messages to every congregant present. First, the congregants were invited to reflect on whether their lives were built on the temporary foundations of worldly values or on the solid rock of Jesus. They were also reminded to have resilience, knowing that with Jesus as the foundation of their lives, they could face any challenges. Commitment was also crucial to building a life with eternal divine values, making Jesus as the foundation, not just an addition.
The church members were very grateful for God’s guidance in their lives. Their journey had been full of ups and downs, but God’s faithfulness had brought them to a place where they could worship freely, continue to love God wholeheartedly, and love others.
