STATEGIC TRAINING – DPW KALIMANTAN (Region 1)
Kalimantan currently consists of 6 local churches (Pontianak, Sintang, Balikpapan, Samarinda, Pangkalan Bun, Palangkaraya) and 2 TPI at Mukok (Enserumak and Trimulya) with total leaders 227 person: consisting of 19 Pastoral, 33 L1, 59 L2 and 116 L3.
For the sake of equipping and building coordination among the leaders, the PESTA (Strategic Training) DPW Kalimantan was held in two different places, given the Kalimantan region cannot be easily connected from the west and east.
The West Kalimantan DPW PESTA event was held in Pontianak on November 7-8, 2019. There were 24 leaders (Pastoral, L1 & L2) who attended the event; they are from Pontianak, Sintang, TPI Enserumak and Trimulya-Mukok.
Meanwhile the East Kalimantan DPW PESTA Event was held in IFGF Church Building at Samarinda on January 9-10, 2020. There were 30 leaders (Pastoral, L1 & L2) who attended the event; and they are from Samarinda, Balikpapan and Palangkaraya.
In both of these PESTA, Ps Erna (Vice President Region 1) focused on vision casting for Greater Blessing 2020.

- How important it is to be a leader who can build yourself, then build other people (others) and build a city (your city).
- ACTS (Action Plan, Culture, Team, Structure) – As a Leader, making Action Plan as a culture in building a team and placing them in the right position in a structure so that all can function optimally.
Ps Erna also chaired a meeting session to discuss the 2020 program which is to:
- Build a pastoral team that realizes the meaning of God’s calling as part of the responsibility as a leader.
- Maximizing “Discipleship Journey” not only as a program but as a motor or driving force in church growth.
- How to read Church Health data and process the data and evaluate it.
- Performing Action Items (making API) so that all plans can be carried out
While Ps Jonathan Kasmin (DPP – Discipleship Global) discussed three topics namely: - To implement discipleship into the church, 5C is needed, namely Culture, Conviction, Commitment, Communication dan Cooperation.
- An effective and healthy Icare group that can be multiplied by applying the 5 Elements of Care group
- To socialize about the IFGF Global Application, if the data is filled in it will easily surround the Church Growth Dashboard of each church. The data can be processed or analyzed in accordance with the needs of each church.
