Sharing Love and Joy
December is known as a month full of love as this month, us Christians celebrate the birth of our Savior. This month, as we celebrate Christmas, some IFGF churches in Indonesia held social activities and events to share the joy with those in need.
One church, TYC IFGF Manado, celebrated Christmas with the children from the traditional market and Karombasan bus terminal, who are under the care of Hati Bapa Ministry – PEA Manado. The event was held successfully and following the appropriate health protocol. There were around 90 children of early childhood age and 15 parents who participated in the event. And although this was a Christmas event, around 80% of the attendees were Moslems and the rest were Christians. During the event, TYC IFGF Manado distributed 100 Christmas packages for the children.

Meanwhile in Bandung, IFGF Bandung held a program called Happiness in a Box. This program gave an opportunity for the church members to share with children in need. The church was invited to share presents which were collected in boxes at church. The presents could be delivered directly to church or sent out by mail.
In Jakarta, IFGF Jakarta collaborated with World Harvest Indonesia for a program called Joy Bag. The church was invited to participate in a campaign called #1000JoyfulKids which aimed to present children with a Joy Bag which consists of school equipment, groceries and kids multivitamins.
This is truly a wonderful season to learn how we can share and care for others through the little things we do. The most important thing, we can acknowledge that all that we have come from God.
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak,

remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘
It is more blessed to give than to receive.
