Inaugural Service of IFGF New Orleans, USA
Good news comes from America, specifically Louisiana, a state in the southeastern part of the country. On August 15, 2021, IFGF New Orleans held their inaugural service attended by 35 people.
The idea for opening a service in New Orleans came from Ps. Rio & Audrey Lantang with Edwin & Maya Jocom in early August 2021. They’re longing for a church in Louisiana where Indonesians can worship and minister. Upon further discussions, on August 15 IFGF New Orleans had their first service. A month after, on Saturday, September 25, Ps. Daniel Hanafi visited IFGF New Orleans. During his visit, Ps. Daniel Hanafi imparted blessings for this new church and shared the vision and mission of IFGF; Connect with God, Make Disciples. On the same day, the church had a community service event in which they gave groceries and financial support to 3 families who were impacted by Hurricane Ida in late August.
Currently, the Sunday Service of IFGF New Orleans is scheduled on 11:30 A.M CT at 140 22nd Street, New Orleans, LA 70124. Ps. Rio & Audrey Lantang are leading this church together with Edwin & Maya Jocom as coordinators.
9 families have become part of IFGF New Orleans. They come from various cities in Louisiana such as New Orleans, Houma, Baton Rouge and Lafayette. If you would like to participate in the service or require further assistance, please contact Mr. Edwin Jocom at +312-927 9412.
Congratulations, IFGF New Orleans! May you carry Jesus’ light brighter to your community.
“Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the Lord.
