Pastoral Introduction Training
On Friday – Saturday 2 – 3 October 2020, IFGF Sabah Sarawak Malaysia held a live Pastoral Introduction Training which was also broadcasted online. The training was a vision casting training to introduce IFGF cultures to new IFGF pastors and leaders.
A total of 40 participants joined this training; 28 of them participated on-site at church while 12 others who reside outside Kota Kinabalu participated through Zoom. The on-site training was held in accordance with the health protocol.
3 pastors were in charge of the Pastoral Introduction Training in IFGF Kota Kinabalu; Associate Ps. Nikodemus Yasut, Associate Ps. Rosna Sim and Ps. Siren Rondy Daud. They delivered the material well that the participants became excited and energized during the training.
This 2 day training also acted as a meeting space for the pastors and leaders to get to know each other. As they became acquainted, they would be able to back each other up as brothers in Christ. It is important to have a support group who can pray and encourage one another as they minister in IFGF Kota Kinabalu.
May God’s name be glorified and magnified as more people answer their calling as pastors and church leaders.
Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.
