IFGF JAKARTA: SERVE THE CITY
On September 14, 2024, IFGF Jakarta in the Jabodetabek area in collaboration with World Harvest, held a humanitarian action with the theme “Serve the City: Smart, Cheerful and Clean Indonesia.” This activity was carried out simultaneously at five points, namely:
- Tegal Angus, Tangerang
- Kampung Melayu, Tangerang
- Kedaung Sepatan, Tangerang
- Wates, Bogor
- Muara Baru, West Jakarta
The action involved around 500 volunteers of various ages, ranging from elementary school children to the elderly, who joined enthusiastically to make a positive impact on the surrounding community.
The volunteers organized various activities, including:
- Teaching English with the theme “Proud to be Indonesian” to around 1.173 children, ranging from kindergarten to high school level.
- Revitalizing and painting two church buildings.
- Distributing food packages.
- Organizing a Clean Indonesia Movement with Trash Hero Jakarta and Polindo Hope in Kampung Melayu and Tanjung Pasir, Tangerang.
IFGF Jakarta and World Harvest had a hope that the activities carried out under the Serve the City event could take Indonesia one step further, getting smarter, brighter, and cleaner.
