Water Baptism
On Easter Sunday 4 April 2021, IFGF Gorontalo (Indonesia) held a water baptism service for its church members. 9 people decided to be baptised and declared their faith to receive Jesus as their Lord and only saviour in their lives.
This water baptism was done on the beach of Century Beach Villa, Gorontalo and led by Ps. Nanang Apriyanto assisted by other L1, Mr. Agus and Mr. Hesky.
These days Gorontalo has started their ‘new normal’ life as Covid cases in the area have decreased. IFGF Gorontalo has started their onsite services for the 08.00 a.m and 10.00 a.m. while keeping their online streaming for the 10.00 a.m. service. Although the numbers of Covid cases have decreased and the community has started their normal activity, IFGF Gorontalo is implementing strict health protocol at their Super Sunday services.
Other activities such as iCare meetings, prayer meetings and Discipleship Journey classes are also done onsite as per usual.
Regardless of our current condition and situation, we are grateful that IFGF Gorontalo can continue their activities well. However we should remember to comply with the health protocol to protect ourselves and everybody around us.
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
