Enjoying Marriage Like Never Before
An IFGF Masterclass titled Enjoying Marriage Like Never Before was held by IFGF Europe on Saturday, March 26. Ps. Sam Hartanto (president of IFGF Global and senior pastor of IFGF Bandung) was invited as the speaker of this online masterclass.
At the start of his talk, Ps. Sam recommended 3 books that can help each couple in their marriage. These books are Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts, Parenting Isn’t For Cowards, The New Strong-Willed Child.
In his talk, Ps. Sam shared about quality time communications (QTC) and the 3 topics that should be communicated during QTC;

- My hope for the future
Ps. Sam also stated that loving your spouse doesn’t mean agreeing on all the things your spouse wanted / said – “love ≠ agree on most things”. Instead, “our disagreements don’t have to end with arguments”. And couples need to realize that “marriage is a series of unending discussions”. When a problem occurs, solve it instead of running away because being sleep divorce is as bad as divorce. We should be aware to not grow distant from our spouse. During his talk Ps. Sam also spoke about educating children. Husband and wife should have one voice on their children’s education and avoid quarreling in front of the children.
Therefore, husband and wife should agree on one thing:
“To never, ever give up”
