He Never Leaves Us
Ever since Covid-19 pandemic started, face to face relationships have decreased significantly. In a bid to slow down the virus from spreading, social distancing and lockdown were enforced in many countries which limit our access to gather and socialize with others. However we should be grateful to live in this moment where technological advancement has enabled us to connect with each other virtually. IFGF Beracah Church Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has a daily virtual prayer meeting. By using the online platform, IFGF Beracah Church Jeddah specially IFGF Beracah’s teens group is able to grow their spiritual lives through listening to online teaching. The teaching can also be heard by non-church members as it is available online.
During one prayer meeting, Kushboo Parvez talked about the potential within us. As we can see in the bible, Jesus saw the potential in Peter (Matthew 16 : 13-21). In addition, Samreen Parvez shared from Psalm 59:1 about God freed His people from all situations even when the devil is trying to deceive us and to shake our faith.
In another prayer meeting, Sundas Yousaf taught about being born again in Christ. He explained how Jesus can help us to live according to His standard when we decide to be born again in Him. That we should completely leave our old lives as we give our lives to Him. Then Youaab Gill taught a topic on the characteristics of God’s love through the lost sheep parable. The main point from his teaching is about love. An abundance of knowledge and wisdom is worthless in God’s eyes if we have no love. God’s love for us is immeasurable and limitless. In another prayer meeting, Christina Parvez shared from 2 Corinthians 9:6 on being a cheerful giver.
On Saturday 1 August, Ps. Parvez Yousaf preached about how we can have a relationship with God. Taken from Isaiah 57:15, Ps. Parvez’s main point was that we can have a close relationship with Jesus if we are not proud of ourselves. Isaiah taught us that the 2 characteristics of God are gentleness and meekness. The next day on 2 August, Ps. Parvez shared from Isaiah 60:1 and explained that this prophecy will be fulfilled when later Jesus Christ comes back to this world as the true light of the world. Nations will be gathered to receive salvation and they need to raise physically, emotionally and spiritually to start the work that has been planted from the beginning.
Praise God for His faithfulness for us. He never leaves us and always leads our way.
Because God has said: “Never will I leave you;
– Hebrew 13:5b –
never will I forsake you.”
