Discipleship Journey & Prayer Warrior

Discipleship Journey & Prayer Warrior

IFGF Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, puts a lot of attention to its members’ spiritual growth. For this reason, IFGF Kota Kinabalu is still opening Discipleship Journey classes despite the physical gathering limitations in Kota Kinabalu. To comply with the government regulations, these classes are held online through the Zoom meeting application.

38 people participated in the Come, Grow, Serve and Lead classes batch 2/2021. The classes were held on Thursday, 3 and 10 June 2021 from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.

Other than the Discipleship Journey classes, IFGF Kota Kinabalu held the 4th Prayer Warrior event through Zoom. This event was born out of the longing of IFGF Kota Kinabalu to stay connected with intercessors from IFGF Kota Kinabalu and IFGF Sabah Sarawak. The event was held for 2 days on 11-12 June 2021 and participated by 103 people. On 11 June, the event started at 7.30 p.m while the event on 12 June started at 9.30 a.m. There were 3 speakers for this 4th Prayer Warrior which were Ps. Maria Tamba, Ps. Siren Rondy and Mrs. Jarpina Surang.

Mrs. Jarpina Suran mentioned that an intercessor has to live in a close fellowship with Jesus and believe that Jesus will work on us. Meanwhile, Ps. Maria Tamba stated that a prayer based on faith, with sincerity and in spirit will bring transformation. Lastly, Ps. Siren Rondy Daud explained that in order to receive God’s power, we need to be hungry and thirsty of God, to crucify our flesh and pay the price through prayer.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called
according to his purpose.”
