Helping Afghan Refugees

Helping Afghan Refugees

We are all aware of Afghanistan’s current condition where many civilians become victims due to the war within the country. Afghan refugees truly need our help. They are lacking shelter and many end up sleeping under the sky. They are also lacking food and drinkable water. Knowing the hardship the Afghan refugees are currently facing, World Harvest answered to the calling to help them.

World Harvest’s volunteer team had visited Chaman, a Pakistani city on the border of Afghanistan to send relief. Around 1000 food packages were distributed by the team, as well as milk for babies and toddlers. This support was greatly appreciated by the refugees. More than just providing physical nourishments, the volunteers also gave their time listening to the refugees’ heartbreaking stories and needs.

On September 1, 2021, the World Harvest team held a meeting with leaders in Chaman to request permission for health check up and ministry for the Afghan refugees. The social service was held on September 6, and that day the World Harvest Team also distributed tents for the refugees.

What World Harvest has done was just the beginning as there are still plenty of things that we can do as our act of love and service for others. Your support through prayers and finances are highly appreciated. You can participate by donating through www.worldharvest.cc or direct transfer to:

Bank: Bank Central Asia
Acc no.: 8830470515
Tuaian Dunia Yayasan
(please note: ‘AFG’ during the transfer and please attach your transfer receipt to our Donor Relation Officer at +6281219009202)

It is our prayer that through World Harvest, we can help more people and let them feel God’s love. May God bless us all!

“What should we do then?” the crowd asked. John answered,
“Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none,
and anyone who has food should do the same.”
