355 Oxygen Concentrators for Indonesia
For a two week period from July 15 – 31, 2021, World Harvest has sent 355 oxygen concentrator machines for Indonesia. These machines were the result of World Harvest’s “Give the Gift of Oxygen” Campaign, which raised funds from our donors and colleagues in the USA. The fundraising was successful, thanks to your participation!
World Harvest is a humanitarian organization under IFGF which focuses on impacting the world through 3 pillars; community, education and media services. Established in 1989, World Harvest aims to reach and equip people in remote and underdeveloped areas. Over time, World Harvest transformed to be an international non-profit organization dedicated to bring change within the community, city and nation. Through their ministry and programs, World Harvest helps in equipping communities with quality education, health care and employment opportunities.
“Give the Gift of Oxygen” Campaign was born from the alarming increase of Covid-19 patients in Indonesia, where more than 50.000 cases were reported each day, mainly due to the Delta variant. Many infected patients fell into critical condition and weren’t able to be treated as hospitals ran out of oxygen tanks and machines. Responding to this issue, World Harvest USA raised funds for oxygen concentrator machines for Indonesia. With a campaign called “Give the Gift of Oxygen”, World Harvest urged Indonesian citizens residing in the USA and also other donors to participate and donate for Covid-19 handling in Indonesia. World Harvest USA managed the purchase and delivery of the oxygen concentrator machines to some hospitals around Indonesia.
355 oxygen concentrator machines were distributed to some local hospitals in Indonesia in 3 deliveries. The recipient hospitals are as follow;
