Vaccination for 12 and above with World Harvest
On Saturday, August 28, 2021, World Harvest in collaboration with IFGF Jakarta, Public Health Department of Tangerang Regency and Kutai Community Health Center organized a Covid-19 vaccination center for children aged 12 and above. This vaccination is essential to reduce the spreading of Covid-19 virus.
The event itself was held in World Harvest Centre Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang, Banten. Around 500 children participated in this event. Those who have been vaccinated received a snack box from the committee.
The purpose of vaccination for children above 12 years old is to reduce the spreading of the virus, as well as to prepare the children for schools reopening. The Drug & Food Advisory Body gave the emergency use authorization for Sinovac vaccine on June 27, 2021 which enables the government to roll out the vaccination process for children aged 12 – 17 years old.
