IFGF & World Harvest – Care COVID
COVID-19 or commonly called the Corona Virus, which is already familiar to the public, has spread very quickly, is dangerous and has been deemed as a global health issue. All countries in the world are fighting with Covid-19, one of which is Indonesia.
The Government of Indonesia has now set a PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restriction), and this is certainly detrimental to small communities who have to go to work every day or on daily wage, such as online bike-taxi, traveling traders, mobile homeworkers and others. Their activities and income have become very disturbed because of this pandemic.
IFGF and World Harvest are working together on “Care Covid 2020” project with the aim of providing assistance to people in need. The assistance provided are in the form of basic food, vitamins, hand washing soap, antiseptic hand sanitizers and masks. More than 316 food items have been distributed to various communities in Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi). In addition to distributing groceries, Covid’s Care team also conducted socialization on how to wash hands properly. They also helped hospital in Qadar and Kelapa Dua by providing medical equipment.
Thank you to all of you who have been supported this initiative. Hopefully what Covid Care team has shared can be a blessing for them. However, the work is not done yet. They will continue to provide assistance to people in need. Let us pray together that this pandemic will soon pass.
